Welcome to the American Autism Society

Mr. Rodenstein, CEO and president has an M.S. Degree in Engineering. He has worked in the Autism field for over 25 years. He has a son who was diagnosed, first at 18 months with PDD-NOS and then at age 2 with ASD. Mr. Rodenstein home schooled his son until age 15. His son is now 29 years of age and still developing. The probability of developing Autism, when Larry’s son did, was 1 in 10,000, .01%. The probability of developing Autism today is 1 in 44 or .023 % therefore in the past 27 years the development of Autism has more than doubled (2.3 x’s). Mr. Rodenstein believes that a good deal of this increase is due to the Psychotropic medications that the Doctors are prescribing and feels that more herbal remedies and holistic health practices would greatly benefit our future gene pool and reduce the impact on our children, families, human services and the medical community.
